Imagine "Meet the Press" crashed into "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." The end result would be The Skinny with Peter DeGiglio, a news talk show that combines topical comedy and timely, cutting edge, often wacky variety acts with thought provoking conversations. Each month The Skinny tackles a new hot button sociopolitical issue; often ripped right from the headlines. And as host, local humorist Peter DeGiglio plays the part of a congenial ordinary schnook trying to wrap his head around it all. For each months show The Skinny features two guests, The Skinny Exclusive, a local artist commissioned to create a performance centered specifically around that months hot button issue, and the Very Special Guest,a high-profile figure from the world of journalism, literature, politics, academia, grassroots or the media.
Becca Brennan
(Co-Writer - Performer)
(Co-Host) Becca was raised on the not-so-mean streets of Park Slope, Brooklyn, and exposed to punk rock, feminism, and diversity at an early age. Having attended a city college for a media degree, she learned the inner workings of media representations and how they affect our daily lives. While she can often take these ideas to the brink, she's a passionate and well-meaning master of debate. When she's not busy writing embarrassing poetry, recommending classic films, frolicking through city parks or taking interesting photographs, Becca can be found participating in New York's newest underground cultural revival, competitive pinball! And not only that, there are those who believe that Ms. Brennan may moonlight as a masked vigilante, standing up for the rights of the downtrodden behind a secret identity.

Dan Ricker
(Writer)
Dan Ricker is a comedy writer by day and a keyboardist by night. He is most recognizable as being the host of Horse Trade Theater's "The Open Mic Downstairs" every Tuesday night. His wry sense of humor and scruffy good looks can be admired each week while performers of all types sign up and take the stage to experiment with their art into the wee hours

Peter DeGiglio
(Producer-Performer)
Peter DeGiglio is an ordinary schnook with a vision; a dream of a world where ordinary Joes and Janes like you and me take up arms against a sea of moronicism and attempt to learn a thing or three--all while having as good laugh. That's why he created 'The Skinny.' A lifelong performer, Peter has performed in film, theater, stand-up, improv and sketch comedy all over the United States and New Jersey. The New York Times once called him a "sensitive actor" with "emotional depth and nuance" for his portrayal of a PTSD suffering World War II vet in WNEP Theater Chicago's Let There Be Light...! Most recently, he gained some recognition as the voice of "The Goblin" in Blizzard Entertainment's popular video game, "World of Warcraft: Cataclysm." He also writes for "The Skinny."
