Dale Seever is pleased to be bringing the Gowanus Canal’s premier arts and culture podcast to the Gotham Storytelling Festival.

Dale Seever of James Bewley, who has appeared in Dale’s combed-over guise at venues across the country for the past eleven years. Bewley is a performer and writer whose work has been presented as part of the Soundtrack Series, Dead Darlings, Punch Up Your Life, PS122’s COIL Festival and Two for the Show. He is currently a Senior Program Officer at the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

Jon Friedman is a writer, comedian and producer living in Brooklyn, NY. He is currently the Supervising Producer of MTVs’ Girl Code, producer on MTV2's Guy Code, and is the creator/producer and host of the award winning variety show, The Rejection Show. Jon’s first book, Rejected: Tales of the Failed, Dumped & Canceled, a humor anthology of rejected works, was released with Villard (Random House) to positive reviews. His solo show, Bear With Me ran at The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater in New York and was nominated for a ECNY Award (Excellence in Comedy) for Best One Person Show. Jon’s original series, The Jon Friedman Internet Program launched with My Damn Channel in 2012.
Melanie Hamlett is a writer, storyteller, blogger, and two-time Moth Storyslam winner. She performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in shows like Asssscat 3000, Nights of Our Lives, Stripped Stories, etc. She's got a few stories on the Risk! podcast and has written for publication like Marie Claire and Nerve.com. Her newest story is featured in the travel series book Leave the Lipstick, Take the Iguana, which hits stores in November. She's been sharing picture stories about her travels on her blog The Wandering Narcoleptic since 2009. Yes, she's actually narcoleptic!
Ada Calhoun is a writer based in New York City. She has written for The New York Times Magazine, The New Republic, and The Los Angeles Times, and been a theater critic for New York magazine, a crime reporter for The New York Post, founding editor-in-chief of the ASME-nominated online magazine Babble, and a frequent contributor to The New York Times Book Review. She is the author of Instinctive Parenting, ghostwriter of several books, and co-author, with Tim Gunn, of two New York Times bestsellers. Her next book, due to Norton in 2014, is a narrative history of the East Village street where she grew up, tentatively titled St. Marks is Dead.
Becky Yamamoto is a comedic performer and writer originally from the smoggy burbs of LA. Her past work includes solo shows performed at The UCB, Ars Nova, The PIT, Here Arts Center. She co-hosts and produces a weekly standup show at the Beauty Bar. She has appeared in a few webseries (Jack In a Box, Two Jasperjohns, Escape From Brooklyn).
