NICK DENNING (Barney Fife) Having had a blast playing Jonathan Harker in Countess Dracula, and multiple characters in A Fifth Dimension, Nick is thrilled for yet another adventure with Sour Grapes Productions! Off Broadway: Crow in The Tooth of Crime at La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theater, Antonio in Tempest Tossed Fools and Lysander in Fools in Love (Shakespeare for kids) at the Manhattan Ensemble Theater and at BAM. Other recent credits (Los Angles): Light Up the Sky and Tanglin’ Hearts (a new country western musical) both at Theatre 40. Getting Out at the Hayworth, and Personality Crisis (A new punk rock musical) at the Raven Playhouse. Nick works avidly in independent short and feature films, many having been screened at international festivals. He is a graduate of the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater. ANDREW RAPPO (Sherriff Andy) is a New York born actor who after studying film at hunter, wrote and directed several web projects. Andrew has performed at UCB and is taking The Meisner Program at The Acting Studio. Currently he's broadcasting a weekly comedic podcast and he's very eager to share the stage with the Sour Productions cast, portraying the personally favorite character of Andy Griffith.
ALEXA OWGANG (Opie) is thrilled to be appearing in her second Sour Grapes production. SEBASTIAN QUINN (Otis/Floyd) is a graduate of the New York conservatory for dramatic arts while he got his stage training in London at RADA. Straight out of school, he performed Macbeth at the 13th St Rep Theatre while also training in circus arts for the next show. He recently made his BAM debut for the production of Alas, The Nymphs as Hylas where the New York Times honorably mentioned of his"tenderness" in the challenging part. He can also be seen in two co-starring roles in the Fox tv show Louie as well as The Affair on Showtime. This is his second collaboration with Sour Grapes Productions, the first being A Fifth Dimension, during which he played several iconic Twilight Zone characters.
BRYAN SONGY (Aunt Bee) A Louisiana native, Bryan studied English at LSU before succumbing to a life of debauchery and musical theatre (synonyms, really). Since then, a proud graduate of Circle in the Square Theatre School, where he played, among others, Sorin in The Seagull and The Mysterious Man in Into the Woods. In NYC, he's appeared as Robert in Boeing-Boeing and as multiple roles in the premiere of Sybil Lines' immersive Bastard Blood, in addition to various readings and cabarets. For Sour Grapes, he's appeared as Robert/Richard in Countess Dracula and Rod Serling in A Fifth Dimension. Other favorites include Rev. Hale in The Crucible (twice) and El Gallo in The Fantasticks.
DALIA STONE (Thelma Lou) is thrilled to be portraying the role of Thelma Lou in CSI: Mayberry - An Unauthorized Parody! She studied musical theater/drama at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts and also attended the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
CHRIS WEIGANDT (acting: Fun Girl Skippy, tech: Producer) has had a lengthy performing career, including local, regional, and Off-Off Broadway productions. She was in the original cast of Nightlife on the Mojave, which was called "A brilliant performance, quickly hazed over by a hail of styrofoam props.”. She was also in the NJ premiere of The Phantom of the Opera - no, not that one. In addition to acting, she was the lead singer in several 80's cover bands, which involved more drama than most REAL 80's bands. She recently produced and acted in Sour Grapes Productions’ presentation of A Fifth Dimension: An Unauthorized Twilight Zone Parody.
GENNY YOSCO (acting: Ellie/Fun Girl Daphne, tech: Playwright/Director/Producer) has been involved with theater and the arts since she was in the 6th grade. She worked for the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival for three years, and won several acting/directing awards during her high school career. Favorite credits include: Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Trinculo in Tempest, Miss Hannigan in Annie, Elisabeth B. Vanhelsing in Countess Dracula!, and various roles in A Fifth Dimension: An Unauthorized Twilight Zone Parody (world premiere). She not only wrote this particular production, but she also directed it, produced it, and is acting in it.
SOUR GRAPES PRODUCTIONS (production company) was founded in 2007 by two jaded and disgruntled actors who hated everything and everyone. Not much has changed to this day.
