Susan Kent is a storyteller, performer, curator/host of Tell It: Brooklyn (www.TellItBrooklyn.com), and she’s the founder of the Dead Parents Club Storytelling Show. Her work has been featured on The Moth Radio Hour, RISK!, and Snap Judgment, and she recently produced a 4-day festival of heartwarming and hilarious solo shows centered on losing your parents. Susan premiered her own one-person show “Into the Belly of the Beast” about her mother’s death at The Tank’s SoloWeek Festival in 2015, and is currently curating a new series of storytelling shows at Brooklyn’s iconic Green-Wood Cemetery (much to the chagrin of one security guard who’s super insulted by the use of profanity in the chapel). She’s not nearly as morbid as this bio—or her tombstone tattoo—might suggest.
