Brain Melt Consortium (Company) is a theatre and multimedia production group interested in creating projects that engage audiences in new and evocative ways. Its shows have been produced in The New York International Fringe, FRIGID New York, and the Edinburgh International Festival Fringe. Additionally, BMC has produces staged readings, interactive concept parties, web series, and the monthly surreal comedy/variety show Pop Culture Fondue.

 


Rachel Kerry (Writer/Director)
Rachel Kerry is a New York Citybased director, writer, and designer interested in innovative, transmedia storytelling. Her work emphasizes devised movement, immersive environments, and the exploration of popular culture. Hailed as "triumphantly weird" by io9.com, Rachel most recently launched the bisexual horror comedy web series, The Flowers of Fantastico. She hosts the monthly East Village surreal variety show Pop Culture Fondue! and is the artistic mastermind behind theatre/media arts production company Brain Melt Consortium.

 

Ian Prince (Backwards Boy) is very excited to be in "The Christmapocalypse" and his first ever production with Brain Melt Consortium!  Originally from Maryland, Ian studied English and Theater at St. Mary's College of Maryland.  After graduation he lived in Japan for three years teaching English where he was apprentice to a master of Kyōgen theater. Last summer, Ian moved to New York City and was most recently in the Heights Players' production of "The Graduate." Also a stand-up comedian--keep an eye out for him at open mics!

 


Tori Ernst (The Good Elf)
Tori Ernst most recently appeared as "Lula" in Dutchman as part of Performa 13 and reprised the role this past September. Other credits include, " A Dancer" in Chuck Mee's The Four Seasons, and "Irina" in The Three Sisters. Tori is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she received her BFA in Acting.

 


Miranda Jean Larson (Suzy Snowflake)
Miranda Jean Larson is very excited to work on ChristmApocolypse again! She worked with Rachel when it was played at the Shetler Studios as a fundraising workshop for another FRIGID show, and is very happy to be back. Miranda is a graduate from Pace University with a BA in Theater. She has recently been seen as Juliet in Occupy Verona's flash mob version of Romeo and Juliet, a staged reading of an upcoming original production called The Woman Who Wandered and Wondered the World by Artcentricity Inc., as well as several short films to be released. Rory Allan Meditz (Gingerbread Boy)
Rory Allan Meditz is a graduate of Pace University with a BFA in acting. Favorite roles include Hamlet, Banquo, Mad Hatter and Travis in the Beautiful Soup Theater Collective's production of Crossing Brooklyn. Later this year, you can see Rory in LBC Studios' web series Mr. Nice Guy. Special thanks to all my family and friends for their undying love and support and to the New York Islanders just 'cuz.

 


John Rentler (Party Elf)  is a recent graduate of the Maggie Flanigan Studio. Check him out in the upcoming web series: "No Shade", "Awkrotica," "We're Alright" and "10th Avenue." He feels insanely lucky to spend the coldest months of the year prance/grinding around as a Party Club Kid Elf in a Santa-less land of hedonism. Thank you Rachel for thawing this meat popsicle of a man.

 


Douglas Robbins (Jack Frost)
Dougie Robbins is thrilled to be a part of the 2015 Frigid Festival and a part of this wickedly merry tale! Some favorite past credits include Dog Sees God, Mother Courage, Drowsy Chaperone, Sweeney Todd, Rent, and The Little Mermaid, among others. He would like to thank Rachel Kerry and Brain Melt Consortium for this opportunity! As always thanks to his family for the incredible support.

 


Melissa Shaw (Candy Cane Dealer) is a writer, performer, and educator living in Brooklyn. She holds an MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. Upstairs from the Kraine, when the Red Room was a little black box, she first debuted her solo performance piece, On How to Dress Your Children the Day You are Going to Pretend They Have Polio. She has since performed that and various other things in festivals and venues throughout New York City. She's happy to be working with Horse Trade, BrainMelt, and Frigid.

 


Chris Smith (Revolutionary Reindeer)
Chris Smith is a recent Theatre and Performance graduate of Suny Purchase. After graduation Chris made the move to Brooklyn to live among his fellow artists. He is delighted to be working with Brain Melt Consortium on their new project. Recent theatre credits include The Once and Future Fling(NYU Gallatin), The Island of Dr. Moreau and the Man Who was Going Nowhere(Suny Purchase), and Anon(ymous) (Suny Purchase).

 

 

AnnieSage Whitehurst (The Snow Queen)
AnnieSage Whitehurst is originally from Nyack, NY (ohsobarely “upstate”). After graduating from Smith College, AnnieSagen made her stage debut in MENDERS with Flux Theatre Ensemble and has since appeared on stage with the Guerrilla Girls, Bedlam Ensemble and WoW Café, as well as the short films “Dysfunction” and “Numb”. She currently hosts “Limetown: The Podcast” and is a company member of {Your Name Here}.
