Funny, outrageous and true! This critically acclaimed comedy hit from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival will have you laughing till you weep. It’s a show about far-out families, quirky girlfriends and boobs...not necessarily in that order.
Fresh from smash engagements in Seattle, Edinburgh and Phoenix comes a delightful and engaging performance by playwright and comedy performer Tania Katan. Adapted from her outrageous and poignant best selling memoir My One Night Stand With Cancer, Saving Tania’s Privates marks it’s North American Fringe Festival Circuit debut.
Tania Katan, 21 years old, loved her breasts. They were round and perky, pert and fabulous – openly adored by many. Suddenly, in the midst of her carefree college days and during some great sex, her girlfriend stopped and said, “Do you feel that, Tania? It’s a lump”
After a mastectomy, some good old-fashioned chemo and 10 years of being “cancer free” Tania was engaged in normal life. Most people don’t think of sex as an effective method of early detection but at the age of 31 in the midst of some very hot make-up sex with another girlfriend, the very same question was abruptly posed, “Do you feel that, Tania? It’s a lump”.
Hilarity ensued, absurd situations became the norm and boobies were never taken for granted again.
