In the tradition of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Skinny is a comedy talk show about news, current events and politics, but with a twist: The host, Peter DeGiglio, is just an average guy who reads the paper, watches the news and struggles to wrap his head around the events that shape our city, our nation and our world. In other words, he's got about as much figured out as you do... which doesn't say much for either of you, really.

The Skinny combines topical comedy and wacky variety acts with poignant conversations and will feature a special guest panel of high-profile pop, cult, and literary and political figures. Not only will you see Peter sit down and discuss everything from murder trials to political bickering with folks in the know, but the night is also filled with special music and comedy acts guaranteed to satisfy your hunger to be entertained! Unless you've got some kind of an entertainment tapeworm, then I'm afraid we can't help you.

And, always, joining Peter will be his funky sidekick DJ April White, who was recently featured of Beatport's Top 100! iamaprilwhite.com

PETER DeGIGLIO is a lifelong performer. He has done theater, stand-up, improv and sketch comedy all around the country and parts of New Jersey. His voice has been featured in radio and television commercials. He was once shot in the stomach by a strumpet for a television pilot and he also recently provided the voice of "The Goblin" on the popular video game, "World of Warcraft: Cataclysm." The Skinny is his brain-child an wishes to thank Horse Trade Theater for allowing him to nurture it.

APRIL WHITE is a renaissance artist of the future: A self-made, independent, multidimensional talent with refreshing depth and a fiery sense of self. The New York City-based music producer/DJ and singer/songwriter is also a playwright, actor, and dancer. April is fearlessly devoted to genre tripping, and purposefully ignores any existing boundaries between art forms and audiences, believing that the artist’s mission is always the same: to be the spokesman for the conscience of mankind, and to make simple truth more powerful than empires.Two of her newest tracks were recently listed on Beatport's Electronica DJ Top 100.
